Wolse vs jeonse in Busan as a foreigner — is the key money deposit safe?
Moving to Busan (Haeundae area) for a 2-year contract. Agents keep pushing jeonse but a 100-150 million won deposit terrifies me. Is wolse (monthly rent + smaller deposit) the sane choice for foreigners? How do people protect the deposit — I keep hearing about jeonse fraud and 확정일자 (fixed date stamp at the dong office). Any real experience welcome.

Go wolse your first year. Get 확정일자 at the jumin center the day you move in.

Check the landlord's 등기부등본 for liens before signing. A realtor can pull it for you.

Thanks both. Going wolse with a 10 million deposit then. Feels much safer.
